- The Bundle Diverter uses a mesh-type flexible acetyl ASB serpentine crowned-top belt to provide positive stack movement and increased stack stability.
- The Bundle Diverter can be mounted at the exit of an EVOL or other folder/gluer machine to insure bundles exiting off-center are returned to the extended system center line for proper handling downstream at strapper operations, etc.
- Belt drive consists of a 2HP right-angle gear motor connected to a square drive shaft with cogged belt and sprockets. Belt speed is controlled by a variable frequency drive ranging from 40 Feet per Minute (FPM) – 125 FPM (14 Meters per Minute – 38 MPM).
- Diverter table utilizes a 1/2HP Brake Motor for shifting loads left to right.
- Bundle Diverters utilize adjustable foot pads with typical Top-of-Roller set at a minimum of 27” (68.58 cm) to a maximum of 34” (86.36 cm).
- The device can be operated in either manual or automatic mode. Positioning controls with photo eyes and laser positioning sensors facilitate fully automatic mode.
- Based on the ACS Stedi-Stak, a state-of-the-art modular plastic chain conveyor system, the Bundle Hold-Down Conveyor compresses loads while providing a solid traveling surface in a variety of processes.
- Bundle Hold-Down Conveyor can be integrated into strapping operations, used to maintain pressure on product stacks to allow additional time for adhesives to setup in folding carton applications or other processes where maintaining bundle integrity and load stability is needed.
- Each section of the Bundle Hold-Down Conveyor is powered independently to allow for simultaneous stack movement and load building.
- Designed using an acetal QNB modular roller ball belt atop a slider bed equipped with a solid, smooth top synthetic belt, the Ball Top Bundle Conveyor is designed to be used as an ejector, quickly moving bundles onto an adjacent perpendicular line when signaled.
- The top belt provides a stable platform for unit loads.
- The small nosing radius at each end of the conveyor section make this device ideal for smaller loads.
- With height-adjustable frame supports, Ball Top Bundle Conveyor is compatible with different styles of bundle conveyor and can be used with existing or new ACS conveyors and all competitors’ conveyors.
- The Right Angle Transfer is a self-contained device placed at a corner intersection to square loads before discharging the bundles 90° from the upstream flow.
- A mesh-type conveyor belt with imbedded rollers mounted at a 45° angle to the belt direction of travel is used to propel the load to the backstop for squaring.
- The Right Angle Transfer features a “Soft Catch” option that can be turned on or off. Air cylinders behind the backstop are used to cushion the impact of the load by retracting at 1/2 the speed of the infeed belt maintaining the integrity of bundles/stacks not yet strapped.
- Right Angle Transfers are fully automated to provide rapid cycle times.
The ACS Bundle Centering Device uses a pneumatically actuated centering head assembly suspended beneath a support frame with height-adjustable frame supports. This allows the centering head plates to operate close to the conveyor bed maintaining stack integrity.
Overall stroke of the centering heads can be easily adjusted to optimize cycle times when changing from large width to small width bundles.
For roller conveyor applications, available scalloped centering head plates are designed to intermesh with conveyor rollers maintaining stack integrity.
An optional pneumatic load stop can be mounted beneath the conveyor bed to both square and hold bundles in position while being brought to the conveyor centerline.
The ACS Bundle Centering Device can be used with new or existing ACS Roller or Stedi-Stack Bundle Conveyor and all competitors’ conveyors.
- Custom design characteristics can be engineered to suit specific application requirements.
- With height-adjustable frame supports, the Bundle Sweep Device is mounted above the conveyor bed. It can be configured and controlled for 90° transfer of loads off the main line either left and/or right onto adjacent conveyor.
